Full-timePURPOSEAs a member of the Accounting department, the Accounting Supervisor supervises and organizes the daily activities of the AP and Inventory Specialist in order to ensure the AP and inventory control processes are completed accurately, timely and in compliance with all State and Federal rules and regulations.
Assists the Sr.
Financial Reporting Manager in achieving all departmental goals including accounts payable processing, inventory control and possessing month-end close processes, accounting-related journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Works closely with Human Resources and other departments to achieve goals.
Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in the minimum guest service expectations.
SUPERVISORY SCOPE Accounts Payable Specialist Inventory Specialist ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure accurate and timely disbursements.
Stay current on all accounting-related regulatory issues.
Make recommendations for updates to the AP and or inventory system and or processes.
Ensure AP and Inventory systems or modules are current with all updates.
Ensure setup of inventory system is correct and act as a functional expert for the system.
Leverage all aspects of the system to ensure processes are accurate, compliant, and incorporate best practices.
Process, maintain and audit accurate and timely payment of goods and services received.
Prepare accurate and timely reporting including general ledger and 1099s.
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual balancing and reconciliation processes.
Work with external agencies/vendors to resolve discrepancies.
Perform General Ledger reconciliations for all accounts payable and cogs-related accounts.
Prepare/review journal entries for actuals and accruals.
Manage reconciliation of employee receivables.
Supervise, develop, train and motivate the Accounting team to accomplish established goals and objectives and optimize efficiency.
Maintain Accounting Policies & Procedures.
Resolve departmental issues in a timely manner.
Coordinate information with outside vendors and resolve any issues that may arise.
Participate in interdepartmental meetings to improve processes.
Backup and assist other Accounting department personnel as needed to meet deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation and Experience :
Associate's degree in Accounting or; Three (3) to five (5) years of accounting experience processing large accounts payable cycles (>150 checks per week).
Three (3) years supervisory experience or extensive knowledge of accounting operations plus comparable leadership experience or training.
In depth knowledge of accounts payable and inventory administration processes, procedures and best practices.
Knowledge of applicable federal and state wage and tax laws and regulations.
Expertise in General Ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and preparation/review of journal entries, including accrual calculations.
In depth understanding of how accounts payable and inventory drives accounting and general ledger transactions.
Experience in processing of electronic tax filing.
Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position.
Skills and Abilities :
Advanced proficiency with Excel.
Accounting and inventory systems knowledge.
Demonstrated excellence in customer service, attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong analytical skills.
PREFERREDEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO).
You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission.
Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions.
The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I).
DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
