Job Description:
We are seeking a Unix System Administrator (Solaris, Redhat) who is very energetic, bright and dynamic with a can do attitude and not afraid of hard work. The right candidate will be organized, possess great communication and organizational skills, and can handle multiple tasks at once.
Responsibilities:
The candidate is expected to be familiar with basic system administration tasks such as:
Unix/Linux administration
System configuration (preferably on Solaris, RedHat and Linux systems)
TCP/IP & networking fundamentals
Understanding of SAN components and design
Familiarity with volume management software
Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions
Familiarity with Symantec products a plus - Storage Foundation and NetBackup
Great troubleshooting skills
Qualifications:
Formal training in UNIX system administration
5-10 years direct experience in UNIX systems administration and support.
Must be a team player, with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interface with users.
This is a customer facing engagement, working offsite at our customer facilities, with our internal project team and 3rd party vendors.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
