Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the month-end closing process for assigned areas, responsible for profit eliminations and consolidation.
  • Work with accounting team to prepare and analyze monthly internal financial reports on a timely basis for senior management.
  • Responsible for proper recording of revenue and manage revenue recognition recording and tracking in compliance with ASC606.
  • Manage both internal and external audits by preparing schedules and any other necessary data.
  • Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations and create monthly review files for senior management review.
  • Manage Accounts Payable cycle, vendor maintenance, weekly disbursements, DPO, annual 1099 process and oversee work activities of local accounts payable staff.
  • Responsible for budget and forecast of assigned departments. Work with management to plan and review budget and expenses; prepare forecasts and adjustments. Provide input to management on their budget and spend.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for assigned projects/issues/areas. May present analyses, metrics and data to internal management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or similar field.
  • 8+ years experience in financial accounting.
  • Solid knowledge on US GAAP.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and communicate using the English language.
  • Ability to take initiative with a minimum supervision to respond in an appropriate manner to all accounting and related issues.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
