Material Handler & Logistics
The Material Handler/Logistics will work independently to ensure the continuous flow of materials to manufacturing, support logistics team and play a key role in process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate must be efficient, organized, responsible and resourceful with a committed ability to communicate successfully in a fast paced warehouse type environment.
General Summary:
+ Participate in implementing strategic plans for process improvement.
+ Accountable for accurate inventory counts, inventory locations and inventory related management functions.
+ Coordinate scheduling with logistics carriers via phone and email.
+ Prepare documentation to support international shipments; commercial invoice, certificate of origin and packing list.
+ Research and resolve material and shipping related problems.
+ Support Production Team for urgent inventory requirements.
+ Participate in regular cycle counting and researching inventory variances
+ Perform timely data entry to ensure accurate inventory and sales order status details.
+ Unpack, label and stock materials and consumables in accordance to storage requirements.
+ Print part labels, Pick Lists and BOM (Bill of Materials) and other key documents.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills:
+ High School diploma.
+ 1 year of related experience in material distribution and/or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
+ 2 years' experience in shipping/logistics; preparing international shipping documents a plus
+ Experienced operating a forklift for moving inventory and shipments. (1+ years of experience)
+ Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional ?can do? attitude.
+ Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and prioritizing multiple tasks along with meeting deadlines.
+ Consistently demonstrate independent judgment and initiative; driven self-started dedicated to continuous process improvement.
+ Detail-oriented, accurate, dependable and willing to accept a wide variety of assignments.
+ Experience with MRP systems and processing inventory transactions.
+ Experience with common carrier software such as FedEx Ship Manager
+ Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret inventory data and reports.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Reading and Comprehension of English language.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
